Sunday Running
I am in trade magazine publishing. Which means deadlines. Lots of them. Our industry’s biggest trade show of the year is just around the corner, which means crazy deadlines. Lots of them.
Crazy deadlines means long hours at the office and more hours in front of the computer at home getting work done that I just can’t find the time to get done at the office. Right now, writing this post, I’m taking a break from a story that keeps writing itself into a corner.
Anyhow, the crazy deadlines and work hours have kept me from blogging as much as I would like. I have posts piling up in my head like crazy, so be ready after next week, when the work insanity should subside.
I haven’t had much time for exercising either, other than abs in the living room when I grab 20 free minutes. The gym? Not happening. I’ve been keeping late hours, and to get through the day, enough sleep is essential.
Add the snow into the mix? It’s been a little nuts. Anyway, this morning, the sun was shining when I got out of bed, there was no wind, and even though there was snow on the ground, the streets were clear.
I got out of bed, got into my workout gear before heading out of my room and hit the street. Since I hadn’t run since last Sunday, I went 2.5 miles again. It was heavenly. It was still only mid-30s, but the sun is getting warmer. Spring is almost here.
I have one more week in the work abyss. And then training begins in earnest. I can’t wait.
My posts may be sparse, or non-existent, next week, but I’ll be back. Promise.

Sometimes life gets in the way
We will be here when you get back!
