I went to the doctor today about my hip. I’m cleared to run! On the treadmill for at least the next week, but that’s a start. I also have to go to physical therapy for some intense stretching but the problem with my hip is minor and running won’t make it worse. Won’t make it better either unless I start doing the physical therapy and “Ice, ice, ice,” as Dr. C. put it. I love this doctor. She is my husband’s back doctor and she took care of me when I hurt my shoulder. She’s an Ironman triathlete and she knows her stuff. It was worth waiting the extra week to go see her about this problem. The tendons in my hip flexor are swelling, which she said, is common and really more just aggravating.
